I am currently reading the Confident Woman by Joyce Meyer. It made me think on how confident I really am and where I get my confidence from. Is it a shallow confidence that doesn’t last or is it confidence that comes from my Savior Jesus Christ.
One of the things that impacted me from the book is that statement she says ” A spiritually mature woman will be the first to do what is right even if nobody else is doing so”. I believe that this statement is so true and rings home to me. what is it that has been rating at my soul? One of the things that God has been bringing back to my mind is that of being so confident in my self that I would always do what is right even when those around me are doing what is wrong. I believe that a confident person would be able to do what is right as long as that confidence is in Jesus and not in our own strength. In Philippians 4:13 the Bible states that I can do everything through him who gives me strength. I believe that if we trust in God to give us strength then we will be confident enough to do what is right. Just my thoughts.
